For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a]
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:13-16
We all have a story. We are each marked with the thumbprint of God and imprinted with spiritual gifts, passions, and dreams that are unlike anyone else’s. We are uniquely and wonderfully made…born an original!
At the same time, we have a commonality that binds us together. We each have a desire to be known. We long to be seen, heard, and understood. Deep within we long for community where we can reveal our heart’s desires, disappointments, struggles, and hopes.
God has created you to share who you are!
And as we do, we can discover more fully where God is at work in our lives. His grace and faithfulness become clearer. Our trust and confidence in His purpose and plan grow stronger. Cultivating relationships where you can share who you are is critical to the health of our souls and is the building block for sharing new life through Jesus with others.
It is important that we learn to tell our story. In the post Going Deeper Into Your Story (click here), we identify and dive into four different facets that make up our story, but for now, take some time to reconnect with God and think through where you are in your journey.
What are your heart’s desires? What are your disappointments? Where are you struggling? What do you hope for? How has God been faithful? In what area or areas of your life do you need God to speak into?
Thank God for your time together. Know that He loves you more than anything! Pray that He will give you opportunities to share who you are with others.
